UX Central Weekly #6

Next week I’ll be talking at the Digital Business Models Conference in Rosebank, Johannesburg. My topic is officially “Recombining products and/or services and data to change the way a firm plays in the digital ecosystem”. I know – quite a mouthful. What I’ll actually be talking about is UX, specifically focusing on getting closer to your customer to build better digital products. It should be fun to speak at a non-specialist UX event, and will hopefully help in spreading the word within the digital community.

A popular article I shared on Twitter this week has been Making UX Research Usable by Keval Baxi.

UX Designers who really want their User Experience to shine through the crowd of merely adequate applications and websites, ought to ensure that there is sufficient focus on UX Research. Determining the precise needs and expectations of a user, and producing a resultant Information Architecture that fully addresses these needs and expectations is one of the fundamental goals of UX Design.
